H. Kreg Harrison


(American, b. 1963)

      Kreg Harrison was born in Ogden, Utah and continues to reside in the state of Utah.  Kreg's ancestors came west across the plains with the Mormon Pioneers and settled in a beautiful area surrounded by the wonders of nature.  His sources of inspiration include; fly fishing, bird hunting, athletics, bird dogs, trout, upland game, waterfowl, horses, the human figure and landscape.  Harrison has been influenced by many great sculptors of the past including Antoine-Louis Barye, Rembrandt Bugatti, Prince Paul Troubetzkoy, and Augustine Rodin.  Kreg enjoys working from life after a comprehensive study of anatomy, with strong emphasis on positive/negative space relationships, gesture, thrust, and abstract shapes.


Kreg Harrison is a full-time father as well as a successful sculptor; he has six young children.  He has participated in many missionary activities and is a role model and instructor for young men in his church.
