(British, b. 1957)

Jason Bowyer studied at Camberwell and the Royal Academy Schools. He has exhibited widely, including at The Royal Academy, Agnews, The Fine Art Society, Christies and the New Grafton Gallery in Barnes, England. He has taught extensively over the last 15 years at various art schools, and developed the N.E.A.C. School of Drawing, which is a charitable organization that offers short drawing courses for adults. His N.E.A.C. classes have been taught at the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery.  He has a studio at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum, which he finds not only a stimulating place to work.  The studio has also inspired renewed commitment to the discipline of drawing.

In discussing his works, Jason Bowyer writes: "I work on the spot and in the studio. I use the discipline of my drawing practice in contrast to the gesture and excitement of paint. I often use found collages or textures to feed my imagination about a place."
