Peter Brown NEAC, ROI, PS
Back(British, b. 1967)
Peter Brown is a painter who works en plein air, largely in oil, charcoal and pastel. His work focuses extensively on cityscapes and the street scenes that surround him. Brown received his Diploma in Art Foundation Studies (commendation in painting) BCHE, in Bath in 1986-87. In 1987-90 he received his BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Manchester Polytechnic. Brown also received his PGCE(FE) from the University of Greenwich in 1992-93. Brown has received numerous awards, including The Arts Club Award from the Pastel Society in 2001, and The Arts Club Award from the New English Art Club in 2002. Brown currently lives in Bath with his wife and four children. He is the membership secretary for the New English Art Club, as well as a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Pastel Society, and the Bath Society of Artists.
