Lucy Elizabeth Kemp-Welch, RI, ROI, RBA, RBC Born in Bournemouth, Kemp-Welch studied art at Bushey under Herkomer from 1881. Just three years later, she began exhibiting at the Royal Academy. Her medium of choice was usually oils, but she did use watercolors for her animals and landscapes. She lived in Bushey and eventually took over Herkomer's school. Her paintings are included in numerous pubic and private collections.
